Ode to a genius composer of great music, James Richard Steinman.
It all started one day in 1988. I was getting into "music" when I heard the intro of Bat Out Of Hell. A grandiose opening followed by this great epic song, I immediately fell in love.
As the album went on the great music kept coming to me, including Paradise what of course was one of the best songs ever written. Meat was my guy. Just a few months later I discovered Total Eclipse Of The Heart. That at the time as was getting into girls and this song just described my feelings at the time. I used it when I fell in love but I used it even more when my heart was broken. There were those nights, lying in bed with this song playing over and over again 'till it was morning. Sometimes I also listened to another song on this "best of Lovesongs" cd that I've found; it was called "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All. Even though I felt miserable I really miss those nights sometimes, Bonnie and Air Supply really pulled me through then.
And there was this amazing discovery: all those songs that I loved were written by a certain J.Steinman. That had to be an amazing dude. The collector's drift in me was on the loose and there came Bad for Good, Pandora's Box and Bat II. Jimmy gained a big fan. Now here we are. thanks to the internet I've found my soulmates and a way to say thanks to you.
Nowadays I own restaurant and I'll hereby invite you to order our complete menu whenever you're around. It's on the house of course.......
