Damian Burns,
Belfast, Ireland
Jim, I like everyone else knew and loved Meat Loaf's "Bat Out of Hell". But I was wrong - "Bat Out of Hell" was your baby. You made it what it was and will always be, a classic.
I discovered you with the help of religion - I was on my was to see the Pope in Galway. In the van someone put on a tape of "Bad for Good". Every since then no other composer, producer, singer has meant so much to me.
It was the thought of finding a new song by JS that got me through my teenage years - the Bonnie Tyler LPs, Air Supply and all the others. I remember in the 80's wearng a black shirt and red leather tie just to copy my hero. Yes, your my hero - second only to my dad.
Songs like "Tonight is what it means to be young", "It's all coming back to me", "Hot summer night" are pure magic - the vocals and music are unbeatable.
Then one day I found your site on the web - I discovered I'm not the only serious fan. As the song goes.."Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing..." . Here's to your good health and continued success.
Also a big thank you to Jacqueline for all the good work she does.
Peace
Damian
