Dear Jim,
Like everyone else who is passionate about your music, I am finding it difficult to put into words my feelings without sounding like a crazed fanboy. I mean, what do you say to the man who has been your musical companion since the age seven listening to "Bat out of Hell" back in 1977? You were there with my first girlfriend, through highschool, losing my virginity and writing my first show (not necessarily in that order).
First of all a great big thankyou. Your grandiose productions of theatrical proportions got me interested in musical theatre. Your intelligent and witty lyrics got me interested in writing. And Paradise by the Dashboard like got me interested in having sex in my car. And nothing has thrilled me more than your musicals (I'm available for any Aussie productions!)
So thankyou, happy birthday and I look forward to your musical adventures in the future.
