For the illustrious Lord of Excess, whom I and the world owe more than can be repaid... 

The opportunity to greet you with a personal note of gratitude is one which I (and many others) consider to be a great privilege and honor.  This, of course, is my humble addition to the immense compilation of "thank you's" and general adorations here.  I would like to reiterate every kind word which has been said so far, and give my humble guarantee that they are all genuinely true.  In addition, though, allow me to extend to you the gift of a simple reminder...  As you thumb through the entries - skimming over the notes, glancing at the photos (and probably taking an extra second to chuckle at mine) - don't forget to stop at some point and take a look at the big picture.  Not a single one of us could possibly repay what you have given over the years, but we are more than willing to do everything that we can manage (short of gathering in masses and following you around the globe).  This project should stand not just as a token of apreciation, but as a reminder of your influence...  That lasting impression which you have bestowed upon those of us who are here, and those of us who are not - and should be. 

Happy birthday Mr. Steinman.  We are all out there...  Waiting.
