Wow, what can I say that hasn't been said a million times over, and by more articulate people.

Just imagine all the positive adjectives in the dictionary, multiply them by the power of ten, and that might be enough to express the sheer power of what your works, over the years, have meant to myself and other fans. From wonderful musicals such as Neverland and Tanz Der Vampire to your rock albums (solo and with others) you have truly changed lives for the better. I hope that this year brings you great joy, and that life gives you all the pleasant gifts it can. You've earned them. For I have a feeling that centuries from now music students will be learning your style along with all the other classics.

So, happy birthday, Mr. Steinman ... you've done superb.

PS--on a less mushy note, have you ever read Roger Zelazny? I think you might enjoy his novels.
